Steps to change your name
- Choose your new name first. Try it in the Free Fire name generator and check that it fits in 12 characters.
- Copy the name.
- Open Free Fire and tap your profile picture.
- Tap the edit icon next to your nickname.
- Paste the new name.
- Confirm with a Name Change Card, or with diamonds if you do not have one.
What a name change costs
- Directly with diamonds: most guides list 390 diamonds. One recent guide lists 800, so the price may have changed.
- With a Name Change Card: usually cheaper. Guides say the guild store sells it for 39 diamonds plus 200 guild tokens.
- Free: the game sometimes gives a card as an event reward.

How to get a Name Change Card
- Join or create a guild. Guides say you earn guild tokens through it.
- Collect the guild tokens the card needs.
- Open the store, go to the Exchange section for guild tokens, and exchange for the Name Change Card. It goes into your inventory.

- A card is used up when you rename, so choose the name before you start.
- Count the characters. Symbols count, and some count as more than one.
